Prayer Focus: Mar 2021

Perseverance in waiting & pressing in proximity to the LORD

The principle of being effective agents in the kingdom of GOD lies in our being; our identity being transformed into the likeness of His Son, being in His presence, being sons and daughters of the Most High GOD, being a living sacrifice.

Jeremiah 33:1-3, While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the LORD gave him this second message: “This is what the LORD says—the LORD who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the LORD: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”

More often than ever, the temptation to move ahead of the fullness of GOD’s timing results in a lack of surrendering and understanding of His Person and His Ways.

Scriptural Focus

As Jeremiah stilled his being and waited upon the LORD, he drew close to Him, the source of his being and received great revelations of the LORD and things to come. (Isaiah 43:19)

May we be found with a life surrendered to the Holy Spirit, He is the Great Intercessor in Whom we find the deep things of GOD.

May our intercession flow out of a place of intimacy with the LORD.

Patience & pushing through

As in the days of Mr Rees Howell – contending in prayer and intercession, the college continues to position with and in the LORD to know the Mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:12- 16) and push through to the fulfilment of the “Every Creature Commission”.

1 Kings 18: 41-45, Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, 'Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.”

Scriptural Focus

Liken to the tenacity of the prophet Elijah, we continue to press in to see “the cloud, size of a man’s fist” for the nations that they will behold the Desire of all Nations.

As we press into higher planes that are new and unfamiliar grounds, may we hold fast to the victory that has been secured, move with confidence and trust in the LORD for He has set eternity in our hearts. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Push through mountains and unlatch that has been opposing with Living Faith both in our individual lives and as a corporate body. (Psalm 37)
