Our Directors
Pastors Yang and Daphne are the Founders and Senior Pastors of Cornerstone Community Church, and serve as Directors of The Bible College of Wales.
From inception in 1995, Cornerstone has planted over 180 churches, schools, children's homes, and bible colleges in 32 different bases around the world.
In 2012, they were led by the Lord to purchase the Derwen Fawr Estate in Swansea, which comprises The Bible College of Wales, the iconic school founded by Mr. Rees Howells in 1924, which was relocated from its original site to the Derwen Fawr Estate in 1929. The Bible School has been thoughtfully and fully restored, and has since seen hundreds of students graduate.
Their desire is to see the Body of Christ come to sonship, to full maturity, and for the Church to be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit.
Yang Tuck Yoong
Director
Pastor Yang serves as the Chairman of the Board of Tung Ling Bible College, a thriving interdenominational bible school in Singapore. In 2014, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Festival of Praise, a network of churches seeking to bless the Body of Christ in Singapore. He also chairs the Alliance of Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of Singapore, a network of churches, Christian organisations and pastors, that seek to build authentic relationships and to give full expression to the pentecostal/charismatic expression of the Holy Spirit.
Daphne Yang
Director
Pastor Daphne serves as the Chairman of Cornerstone Community Services, Singapore, a family service centre that reaches out to the community at large and provides assistance to the less privileged in society. In 2018, she launched the WOW! Women’s Conference ministry which reaches out to women from all walks and every generation, to equip and mature the daughters of God and make room for like-minded believers to fellowship and be encouraged. She is the Pastoral Overseer of Cornerstone Community Church and works with a team of dedicated pastors and full-time staff to fulfil God’s agenda for His Kingdom.
A message from our Directors
The Bible College of Wales was founded in 1924 by the great intercessor, Mr. Rees Howells. In its earlier days, it was not only a hub of incessant spiritual activity that altered the course of world history; it also produced a company of powerful servants of God who traversed the nations with the gospel. There were many famous preachers that came forth from the hallowed grounds of the school, men like evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and Bryn Jones, and other equally effective men and women who went forth preaching the good news.
In an early college pamphlet, it was written that the great object of the college is to prove that the work of God can be carried on by trust in God and that faith and prayer are efficient agents. The pamphlet goes on to say that the desire of the founder was to give the very best tuition to young men and women and also to encourage them to enter the school of faith. That all the students who graduate from the college will be able not only to expound the Word of God but to give practical demonstrations of it. This need of trained ministers was a burden to the founder and he prayed for a strong interdenominational college in Wales that would give thorough theological training, yet with practical expressions of faith.
In keeping with the tradition of the founder of The Bible College of Wales, we pray that out of these gates, God will again raise a mighty army of preachers and teachers who will proclaim the good news of the Kingdom and shake the nations.
As Directors of the estate, we are convinced that The Bible College of Wales will once again be an epicentre of great spiritual activity and blessing to all the churches in Wales, the United Kingdom, and around the world. The question to answer of course is, who should attend this college? Good question.
This college is designed for men and women, young and old, who seek to know the Lord more intimately, those who desire to enter into ministry either on a full-time or part-time basis, those who have a call for the nations as missionaries, and those who would like to be refreshed in the Lord. Each semester will last 12 weeks, and each student will receive the highest standards of instruction, training, and ministry.
